Flame Pharma is working alongside a global biopharmaceutical organisation at the forefront of developing new medicines in areas where the need is currently unmet. This pioneering company has an impressive portfolio of products in anti-viral, cardiovascular and respiratory therapeutic areas. As a result of expansion within their offices in London, UK, we are working on a recruitment project to source an Associate Director Medical Affairs to lead in the development and implementation of the International medical strategy and the International post-registration clinical plan for cystic fibrosis. The Associate Director, Medical Affairs will lead with all International medical activities for cystic fibrosis and ensures coordination of activities across the International Region, including consistency and quality, managing relationships with International Key Opinion Leaders and lead the International trials initiatives. You will assure that International and country-specific studies and Phase IV trials support the strategy of the franchise as a whole. The Role: The Associate Director, Medical Affairs will develop and improve relationships and communication with key professional scientific and medical communities and International authorities as well as key opinion leaders and other physicians and pharmacists by promoting company’s scientific image in developing clinical data. They will provide authoritative opinion on medical, legal and regulatory matters to support the cystic fibrosis launch. The Associate Director, Medical Affairs ensures that local and International clinical trials are completed with the product development strategy of the Respiratory franchise and contribute to the development and implementation of Global and International strategic post-registration clinical plans. The successful candidate will coordinate Phase III and IV studies at the country and at International level through active input to the EU sub-committee process. The Person: The ideal candidate will be a Medical Doctor, with solid professional experience in the relevant therapeutic area. They will have professional experience in Medical Affairs in a commercial pharmaceutical company (preferably international), with a strong Respiratory background in Industry or clinical medicine. Experience in developing and managing Phase IIIB/IV protocols is also required along with having good relationships with International scientists and medical communities.
