Flame Pharma is working alongside a global biopharmaceutical organisation at the forefront of developing new medicines in areas where the need is currently unmet. This pioneering company has an impressive portfolio of products in anti-viral, cardiovascular and respiratory therapeutic areas. As a result of expansion within their offices in London, UK, we are working on a recruitment project to source an Associate Director Medical Affairs to assist in the development and implementation of the European medical strategy and the European clinical plan for the HIV franchise. The Associate Director, Medical Affairs will support all pan-European medical activities and ensure coordination of activities across countries, including consistency and quality in the country work. The Associate Director, Medical Affairs will contribute to the management of relationships with European Key Opinion Leaders and assist in coordinating the European trials initiatives, assuring that pan-European and country-specific studies support the strategy of the franchise as a whole. The Role: The Associate Director, Medical Affairs contributes to the development and implementation of Global and European strategic clinical plans. This particularly includes the phase IIIB/IV clinical strategy for Europe. The successful candidate will support the country medical strategies and study concepts and proposals, ensuring that local and pan-European trials complement and are consistent with the product development strategy of the HIV franchise. They will coordinate country medical activities for HIV products by providing input to the locally developed and run clinical trials at the subsidiary level. The Person: The Associate Director, Medical Affairs will be a Medical Doctor, preferably with board certification in Internal Medicine or Infectious Diseases. The ideal candidate will have proven clinical and research experience in the field of HIV. Industry experience is preferred. This individual must understand the competitive landscape regarding the current diagnosis and treatment of HIV. and must have demonstrated organisational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
