Job Summary

Background

Due to expansion, our client is looking to recruit a Data Manager to ensure that all data is processed in a timely manner to the highest quality, and to ensure that all study datasets issued to clients are correct, accurate, in the appropriate format and are issued on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure all internal and external data deadlines are met
• Ensure all data is processed to the optimal quality and with the optimal efficiency
• Ensure all parties involved in the data handling process work together to achieve the required output to the required timeline
• Create and maintain an overall data management plan covering the data processing requirements of all studies over the (rolling) next 2 months, ensure appropriate ahead-of-time resource planning
• Review and update all data processing procedures to ensure they are operating to optimal efficiency and effectiveness
• Create and / or implement any specific client data format or transfer requirements, ensure SOPs are created or updated accordingly (utilising SAS or other formatting package)
• Ensure all interim and final datasets are issued in correct format and by the correct process, ensure the client is happy with issued datasets
• Meet weekly with reports team to keep updated on all new studies, on-going study progress, timelines, expectations, deliverables etc
• Meet weekly with the Research Managers to update them on pending datasets, and data issues that require discussion etc.
• This is also an opportunity for the Research Managers to pass on information re: forthcoming studies and for all parities to exchange general study data information
• Ensure the technical Hub are updated regularly re: any resource required from them to assist with data re-formatting, data refinements etc
• Establish and maintain good organisation of all working practices to ensure optimum efficiency and quality
• Be actively involved in the company working group network
• Highlight any deficits in necessary skills required for role, seek training and development remedies to reduce deficits

Qualifications and Experience

• Qualified to an appropriate standard, preferably to degree level in a life sciences subject.
• Having relevant past experience, preferably in a life science capacity.
• Understanding of data management and regulatory requirements.
• Experience (or equivalent competency) in Data Management within the pharmaceutical industry.
• PC skills including data management software; appreciation of medical terminology and clinical practice.
