Flame Pharma Clinical Research - HR Manager Job - Europe (Hungry): Job Summary Reporting to the Director of HR Europe, the Human Resources Manager will implement and administer the policies and procedures relating to Human Resources function and activities in assigned offices/countries. Job Title Human Resources Manager Background Due to expansion, our client is looking to recruit a Human Resources Manager to be based in their offices in Budapest, Hungary. Key Responsibilities In conjunction with the HR Director, interacts and consults with management, external agencies and representatives to manage the human resources function of the assigned offices. Reviews and consults with the HR Director as required. Policies · Assists with the administration and implementation of all Human Resources policies and procedures throughout Central Europe. Recruitment · Assists in recruiting, interviewing, and selecting suitably qualified employees to fill vacant positions; prescreens and interviews, checks references, as requested. Assists in negotiation of agency/consultancy fees. · Drafts all offer letters, employment contracts and contract extensions relating to employees for review and sign off by the HR Director. Training and Development · Induction - Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals; provides verbal description of company policies/procedures, company history, and benefits. · Development – Conducts training needs analysis in conjunction with the management team and recommends suitable courses, where internal courses are not provided. · Performance Management - Assists with the role out of the performance appraisal system and related documentation for Central Europe. Tracks training needs and issues arising from these. Employee Benefits · Administers the employee benefit programmes and maintains record system of personnel transactions. Researches/evaluates benefit information and trends/market survey analysis and makes recommendations to the HR Director for competitive, cost-effective benefit programmes. · Payroll - Works with the finance department to ensure that payroll information and procedures are accurate and updated as required. Termination · Assists in managing employee separation and conducts exit interviews, (by telephone or face-to-face, as appropriate) and collates the return of the exit interview forms to HR Maidenhead. Assists in minimizing potential risks of claims from departing employees. General · Assists with the roll-out of Oracle implementation by meeting participation with the focus group and working with the HR Representative to ensure best system is set up for each section of the HRIS. · Updates and maintain HR files and database ensuring confidentiality at all times. · Updates and maintains holiday, overtime and sick leave record system. · Keeps up to date with new legislation and regulations relating to HR and employment practices and advises HR Director accordingly. Works with HR Director to resolve issues of interpretation for management policies/procedures and employee handbook. · Serves as an intermediary between management and employees to resolve employee grievances and maintain open two-way communication. Assists employees/supervisors in disciplinary actions or personal problems as and when appropriate at the same time ensuring minimum risk to the Company of any potential claims. · Evaluates work-related injuries or accidents and takes the necessary action to report them to the respective authorities. · Assists with the preparation and roll-out of the Annual Salary Review process. · Assists in headcount monitoring and with HR metrics. eg labour turnover etc. Qualifications and Experience · Bachelor’s degree or equivalent · Excellent experience as a generalist human resources professional within an international company · Requires a thorough knowledge of employment laws in at least two central European countries. · Good negotiation and administrative skills with excellent communication and attention to detail abilities are essential. · Fluency (written and verbal) in English plus one other European language is essential. · A flexible, collaborative approach to problem-solving and ability to work within a team desirable. · Must be able to prioritise and handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment. Requires computer literacy with knowledge of Windows software programs. · Travel will be required, particularly within the surrounding countries of Hungary.
