Flame Pharma Medical Devices – Clinical Research Manager Job - UK:

Job Summary

Flame Pharma is working with a leading Medical Device Organisation who specialise in woundcare management.  They are recruiting a Clinical Research Manager due to investing on a clinical trial programme (Phase III, IV) in UK and Europe, and require an experienced Clinical Research Manger skilled in conducting clinical trials, ideally within the Medical Device sector.

This role can be field based with some visits to company head office.

Background

The role of the Clinical Research Manager is to provide leadership in Medical Device clinical trial activities. The Clinical Research Manager is responsible for managing the planning, implementation, and tracking of clinical monitoring process, administration of clinical trials, maintaining an overview of the clinical trials, and their reporting and publication. The position requires an active role in developing and setting up the clinical research plan and monitoring of both manpower and clinical trial so that all aspects of the plan are in progress.  This is a very “hands on” role and it is expected that the candidate will spend significant time supporting and driving field based clinical trial activities in UK and Europe.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise non-company research staff and ensure that they are reviewed regularly, remain relevant and adhered to
• Accountable for site activities including site timelines, study visits, site selection, site initiation, site management, study drug management and closeout activities
• Recommend policies, procedures and processes to ensure high level of QC and QA
• Manage ongoing communication of operation issues and provide accurate progress reports on assigned activities to study team
• Responsible for managing site and/or vendor budget activities
• Work with Marketing/Sales to Develop KOLs.
• To aid and advise and help develop relevant clinical training materials
• Participation in protocol development, CRF design, project plans and clinical report writing
• Develops reviews and approves regulatory and other required study documents for GCP compliance
• Contributes to projects that support wider organizational goals

Qualifications and Experience

• University degree or equivalent in a medical/science-related field
• Proven experience in Clinical Research/Development or related industry (ideally Medical Device)
• An understanding/knowledge of Medical Device Clinical trials requirements in UK/Europe
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills demonstrated by an ability to present clear messages from complex information/data to all levels in the organisation
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
• Self-motivated and achievement driven
• Strong computer skills - experience using various computer applications including spreadsheets, email, word-processing software
• International travel required.
