Cheshire, Macclesfield or London: Excellent package Flame Pharma is working alongside a world class medical communications organisation with operations across the globe. We require a talented and proven medical writer to lead and manage a team delivering medical education and communication projects for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. The Medical Writing Team Leader will develop education and communication programmes and proposals that contribute to ongoing account development and new business development. The Role The Medical Writing Team Leader will contribute to the development, manage the delivery and assure the quality of education and communication projects. They will take line management responsibility for team members and work closely with the Vice President to ensure performance management, staff development, succession and resource planning takes place. The Medical Writing Team Leader will plan resource and delegate responsibilities within the team so that account objectives are achieved, plus providing consultancy advice in areas of expertise within and across departments and divisions. The successful candidate will also establish, develop and maintain relationships with pharmaceutical industry and healthcare professional key contacts. The Person Educated to degree level or higher in a biomedical science, with proven writing experience in a communications agency environment or equivalent, including management experience in a multidisciplinary teamwork environment is required. Candidates will have significant knowledge of pharmaceutical drug development, regulations regarding the approval and licensing of drug products, and the laws and guidelines that govern product marketing and interaction with healthcare professionals. Excellent scientific writing and the ability to assure the quality of medical education and communication materials is essential as are excellent leadership, motivational, interpersonal and communication skills.
