Job Summary

Background

We are recruiting a Quality Manager and Qualified Person (QP) with middle management experience within Quality Assurance/Quality Control to provide Quality oversight and support in order to ensure customer service requirements are met, including agreement and management of cycle time for Quality activities.

Key Responsibilities

• To manage a team including performance appraisals and development of each.
• To ensure that the Quality Systems inside the department are implemented in compliance with regulatory/corporate expectations in order to support QP decision-making and systems and processes are challenged to ensure continuous improvement.
• To ensure adequate trained resource to ensure that cycle times, customer commitments and compliance expectations for the department are met, and that any issues are highlighted to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner, and assistance to resolve issues and continually improve is provided.
• To ensure that all inspection issues raised by internal (site and GCA) and external bodies are comprehensively resolved to the agreed timescales.

Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge

• Qualified Person (QP)
• Extensive knowledge of cGMP and its implementation by EMEA and FDA authorities
• Extensive knowledge of corporate quality systems that are applicable to the quality unit and the production operations serviced
• Good understanding where appropriate of analytical techniques utilized in the QC unit
• Thorough understanding of applicable corporate Enterprise systems applicable to the department
• Extensive experience in middle management in either Quality Assurance or Quality Control
• Frontline exposure to MHRA/EMEA inspections (FDA would also be an advantage)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to lead and motivate a team
• Ability to persuade and influence people at all levels of the organisation
• Ability to deal assertively with internal and external inspection groups
