Flame Pharma is working alongside a leading Contract Research Organisation to appoint an experienced Scientist with expert LC-MS skills to join their highly skilled, motivated team in their modern state of the art facilities in Hertfordshire. The Role:

As a LC-MS Section head, the successful candidate will lead the company’s LC-MS work to make a substantial contribution to the provision of an efficient and profitable laboratory service to our customers. This laboratory is a specialist analytical facility that provides for the measurement and identification of many drugs and metabolites down to picogram concentrations in biological matrices. These samples originate from various sources such as epidemiological studies, GP’s, research projects and Pharmaceutical companies.

The LC-MS Head will also be expected to implement and manage the principles of GLP and health and safety compliance within the section and to help the GLP Compliance officer, other Study Directors and the Laboratory & QA Manager in maintaining an efficient, safe and GLP compliant laboratory.

The Person:

Candidates must possess a degree in Chemistry together with proven LC-MS experience ideally as a Team Leader or Supervisor in a Pharmaceutical, Clinical Research or Biotechnology company. They must have extensive GLP experience and be familiar with Derivatisation techniques whilst also have the ability to motivate and lead a team of professional staff.
