Job Summary

We are currently recruiting for a Market Research Executive for a large independent Market research agency . If you are an experienced Market Research Executive working in the Market Research field and want to demonstrate your Market Research skills and experience, then this position is for you.

Background

Due to expansion our client is looking for a Market Research Executive. Market Research Executives are responsible for liaising with Project Leaders and any nominated client companies in order to handle projects. They have prime responsibility for handling client projects from the internal initiation meeting through to report writing and/or debrief preparation, working closely with the Project Leader to ensure that the research design, analysis and interpretation of results fulfils clients needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • To define, in consultation with the Project Leader, appropriate research protocols which provide solutions to each client brief. These will draw from organisations repertoire of techniques and may combine both qualitative and quantitative techniques.
  • To manage Market research assistant(s) and trainee Market research executive(s) within the research team and brief colleagues from other departments/teams on all aspects of projects, to ensure accurate and timely execution of the Market research.
  • To design questionnaires, discussion guides & paperwork and ensure they are approved by the Project Leader, Moderator, Client, Field, Data Processing & Analysis
  • To help draw up schedules (timings, briefings, etc.) in consultation with the Project Leader, for all aspects of each project and ensure that they are issued and agreed by all relevant personnel, notifying people immediately of any changes
  • To draw up editing, coding and data tabulation specifications in consultation with the Project Leader
  • To design and conduct data analysis briefings in consultation with the Project Leader.
  • Liaising with all relevant departments to ensure smooth project progress. This will entail checking and dealing with any product handling, field, editing, coding, data processing or data analysis queries.
  • To ensure that clients receive and understand their top line results whenever appropriate, after consultation with the Project Leader.
  • To analyse qualitative, quantitative and diagnostic data providing considered reporting, interpretation and recommendations for discussion with the Project Leader prior to the debrief.
  • To supervise the work of Trainee Research Executives & Research Assistants as requested, although the final responsibility lies with the Project Leader.
  • To monitor actual performance against budgeted costs on all projects, taking any necessary remedial action as agreed with Senior Management.
  • To exercise cost controls to ensure that clients are fully invoiced promptly for all aspects of the research.
  • To follow the procedures as described in the ISO Manual, to maintain a high quality of client service at every stage of the research process .
  • To assist Senior Management with any other tasks as required.
  • To promote, at all times, a pleasant working environment for all staff and workers

Qualifications and Experience

  • Communication - Communicates and explains clearly, professionally and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
  • Self-Management - Can switch between different tasks according to business needs, coping with changing priorities and keeping others informed of possible issues
  • Planning and Organising - Prioritises own workload and thinks through the logistical details of projects to ensure their success.
  • Working with Others - Maintains open and honest relationships with colleagues building trust and confidence.
  • Project Design - Thoroughly understands a project’s objectives, designing robust, detailed logistics and questionnaires for standard projects to deliver those objectives.
  • Project Management - Assembles all necessary materials for projects, liaising with the client and other departments at every stage to keep the project on track, with supervision depending on the complexity of the project.
  • Client Focus and Client Management - Communicates clearly with the client, taking time to keep them informed and being responsive to their requests; through this, building the clients trust and confidence in organisation to deliver a high quality service.
  • Analysis and Interpretation - Checks data, specifies tabulations and produces basic charts and reports usually under the guidance of a more senior researcher (unless of a standard nature).
