Flame Pharma Pharmaceutical - Senior Manager Toxicology Job - Riccarton:

Job Summary

Flame Pharma are currently recruiting a Senior Manager within Toxicology to manage our client’s Study Director team based in Riccarton, Scotland. The Senior Manager will run general toxicology studies as a Study Director and provide senior toxicology input. Should training permit, they will also act as the deputy Named Veterinary Surgeon.

Background

To keep-up with industry standard, our client’s toxicology department is aiming at increasing the quality of its first product, the proposal, and of its end-product, the study report.

Key Responsibilities

• To be a member of the Report Review Committee and more generally to coach more junior colleagues in the field of toxicology and report writing
• To play a key client-facing role and as such must have the required soft skills
• An individual contribution as a Study Director is also expected occasionally
• Ideally, the successful candidate will be a a veterinary surgeon and as such could act as a deputy NVS

Qualifications and Experience

• PhD in Life Sciences or a DVM degree or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in toxicology.
• People management talent is key
• Communicator and networker
• Business acumen.
