They are looking for a professional and enthusiastic GP Services Development Manager to join their dedicated team covering Manchester and Buckinghamshire. Job Title GP Services Development Manager Background As a GP Services Development Manager, you will initiate and develop collaborations with the GP network with the objective of obtaining their support in the recruitment of volunteers and patients for participation in clinical research studies in order to support the commercial activity of the company. You will increase awareness of the requirements of clinical research to GP’s, their practice employees and subsequently to the general public. Key Responsibilities · Responsible for the development and implementation of a GP network which will be utilised to enhance volunteer and patient recruitment into clinical trials. · Responsible for the promotion of clinical research within the GP network and enhancing awareness in order to increase access to healthy volunteers and patients for participation in clinical trials. · Assist GP sites in identifying suitable healthy volunteers and patients for clinical trials by performing database searches, pre screening activities and mailshots (utilisation of EMIS). · Responsible for ensuring that all activities are conducted in accordance with the relevant guidelines and company SOP’s and that full and accurate records in his/her area of responsibility are kept and maintained. · Identify opportunities for developing promotional events and seminars to maximise GP collaboration and volunteer recruitment opportunities. · Identify opportunities for the initiation of satellite screening sites within the GP network. · Actively contribute to the study feasibility and scheduling decision making process when required. · Assist with/attend client meetings, presentations, trade exhibitions as required. · Ensure strong relationships and positive communication channels are maintained with key personnel. · Work within the N.M.C Code Of Conduct and scope of professional conduct and ensure that own knowledge is developed and sustained in accordance with the requirements of maintaining nurse registration. · Observe the confidentiality of volunteer and client information at all times, both in accordance with the Data Protection Act.and client confidentiality contracts. · Maintain his/her costs of manpower and operational facility requirements within agreed budget. · Other duties as assigned by the Director, Volunteer Services or Associate Director, Feasibility . Qualifications and Experience · Life Science Degree or Relevant Professional Qualification. · Computer literacy. · Good oral and written communication skills. · Be conversant with cardiac resuscitation procedures in accordance with the Company resuscitation policy. · Responsible for promoting a professional image by appearing smart and professional at all times.
