Job Summary

Flame Pharma is currently looking to recruit a VP / Director of Business Development within to be based in London. This is a senior leadership position within Therapy Monitors and the overall organisation. Specifically the purpose of the job is to: · Have overall sales and profit responsibility· Drive overall sales · Set direction and provide leadership for the global team · New product development · Assess avenues for further expansion of the monitor · Provide higher-level, strategic consultation to clients.

Job Title

 VP / Director of Business Development

Background

Due to expansion, our client are looking to recruit a VP / Director of Business Development within to be based in their offices in London.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

§ Generate new clients – pharma, biotech and other organisations

§ Generate new business with existing clients

§ Maintain re-subscriptions with existing global clients

§ Further develop the Antiviral product portfolio Leadership

§ Leading, motivating and managing the global AV team including all aspects of performance management and overseeing the development and training of subordinates while ensuring the group exceeds yearly agreed sales and profit target.

Project Management

§ Set direction and ensure that all activities are done accurately, efficiently, within budget and in a timely manner

§ Develop new products

§ Support execs in presentations

Working Relationships

Internal:

§ Working with HR

§ Working with Finance /accounts on a monthly basis to ensure numbers are accurately reported. Also working closely with Finance on a quarterly basis for the re-forecasts / budgets / business plans

§ Working with KAMs

§ Working with Marketing

§ Working with Ad hoc and other business units for joint pitches

External:

§ Working with Market Research, Marketing, Clinical, Medical Affairs and Procurement in Biotech and Pharma companies

§ Working with epidemiologists in non-pharma companies that are purchasing the data

§ Working with pharma / biotech experts in investment banks

Qualifications and Experience

§ Strong educational record required

§ A degree or equivalent

§ Substantial proven experience working in pharmaceutical market research

§ Strong Quantitative background

§ Strong sales experience

§ Ability to provide higher-level, strategic consultation to clients

§ Ability to supervise, direct and handle personnel and training issues

§ Proven record in managing large team

§ Business Development background

§ International research background

§ Good understanding of financial reporting and analysis
